We cruise south from Briare, along the history rich C. Lateral a la Loire, past glorious Sancerre, to Decize, then turn north to cross the river Loire and join the picturesque C. d. Nivernais. We then cruise north to Auxerre and onto the river Yonne, at the junction with the river Seine we briefly turn west, then at St Mammes turn south onto the C. d. Loing which takes us to the C. d. Briare, to cruise back to our winter mooring in Briare.

2011.
The plan is that from our base in Briare we will spring into 2011 with either, a cruise north on the tranquil & historic C. d. Briare & the C. d. Loing to Montargis, or, a cruise south on the C. Lateral a la Loire, to Sancerre & the gorgeous winery's all around it. Each option see us return to Briare for a second cruise. We will make various cruises across the 2 routes in May, June & early July. Mid July sees us head north to the river Seine, to Paris & then turn east onto the river Marne. We'll cruise the fabulous Champagne region visiting Reims & Epernay. Then head north on the C.d. Ardennes, onto the river Meuse into Belgium and into Holland (then called the river Maas). When we moor in Holland Zwaan will get yet more pampering (undergo some maintenance works) & be moored for the winter.

2012
The plan is after wintering in Holland, that we cruise parts of Holland, then head south to Belgium, thru the picturesque Ardennes and then on to Northern France, we're yet to identify a more precise route because we are not yet sure where we will moor for the winter of 2012.
