This year we're missing out....

....because our son jack will be rowing at Henley Royal Regatta on the dates that the Tour de France passes through Montargis, so we have to look forward to 2011 to enjoy the spectacle.

Stage 5 is from Epernay to Montargis, http://www.letour.fr/2010/TDF/COURSE/us/500/etape_par_etape.html , & the following day for Stage 6 the tour heads south to Gueugnon.

The town of Montargis is on the Canal de Briare & has a website http://www.montargis.fr/ which is kind of groovey.......
